The Acorn People is a remarkable and amazing book about the disabled. It’s about five kids and two counselors that have to over come internal and external conflicts. The book makes you feel and think about each kids disability and about their everyday fears. How would you feel if you couldn’t do over half the things you could do now. First of all I thought the book was going to be one of the most boring books I had ever read. Like who wants to really read about some kids who can barely do anything. When I think of disabled children I think of them being different from us.
