As the gap narrows between countries in relation to communication, trade, and expansion, countries need to come to terms with the forces of globalisation. In turn these countries will most likely be the beneficiaries of globalisation and economic security. There are many forces of globalisation that are acting on countries that will have to be understood by governments to secure the economic benefits they hold. In the past globalisation was discouraging due to high tariffs, and tighter protection of national borders to prevent a downturn in the local market that could occur from the competitiveness of the international market. Globalisation has many rewarding factors if it were to be fully understood by countries. For example globalisation can create more jobs within a country, it can increase economic growth, increase the standard of living, increase consumer choice, etc… globalisation a can also be detrimental to our economy. ... Nowadays we have come to realize the beneficial factors of globalisation, which will be discussed further, in detail below.
