The standard of beauty has changed so much that we can’t even achieve it without major surgical help. There is a new show on TV called Extreme Makeover. The men and women on "Extreme Makeover" undergo multiple plastic surgery in addition to expensive clothes and a personal trainer. ... According to a magazine article called, Extreme Makeover a women Melissa Jones was picked to have an “extreme makeover. ... People need to think less about external beauty and focus more on internal beauty, it is hard to do that when the television is reminding us how imperfect we are. ... As I was researching for this paper I discovered a web site that said, “Beauty comes from the inside” I was curious so I looked into it. ... First it stated that beauty really does come from making others feel good, spreading laughter, and being happy with ones self. About two paragraphs in it states that inner beauty doesn’t always come naturally and needs to be worked at. It then started to pressure you to buy their products so that you can reach inner beauty. This article seemed very hypercritical to me and only supported the fact that the public will try anything to get us to buy beauty, even inner beauty can be bought now days.
