The secular world and the spiritual world can only co-exist if there is a clear comprehension of one another. In the movie, the Gods must be crazy; Xi after years of seclusion from the secular world was introduced to it by the coming of a coke bottle; this was the beginning of a long journey for Xi. If Xi had a better understanding of the rest of the world he would have had fewer problems on his journey. Xi was a member of the aboriginal tribe. The aboriginal people are the aboriginal tribes of America. These aboriginal people had different beliefs and rituals. In the movie Xi believes in animism, the belief in the existence of individual spirits that inhabit natural objects and phenomena. During his journey when a monkey takes away the bottle from Xi, he asks the monkey to give it back to him so that he can brick it back to the god because it has brought to evil him and his family and it will bring evil to him too. The monkey gives back the bottle to Xi. Xi also practices taboo, a prohibition excluding something from use, approach, or mention because of its sacred and inviolable nature. After Xi hunted down the animal he said a prayer or could also be referred to as taboo. At first the introduction of the spiritual world with the secular caused great joy but soon it became a great burden for the society. The affects of the secular world were catastrophic to the aboriginal people. When the coke bottle was dropped from the sky towards the aboriginal group below, the aboriginals interpreted it as a gift from God.
