	“Attack” by Siegfried Sassoon
	The poem Attack by Siegfried Sassoon is structured as an Italian sonnet but with an unusual number of lines, 13. The structure is not fixed; it has parts or caesuras that break the poem. It breaks into 5 stanzas. Alliteration and Iambic pentameter play a role to this poem. Attack is about how the recruits in an army suffering in a war, lifeless, soulless, no hope and no one to morn over the death of either one of the recruits, when they die. However, all what the soldiers want, is to stop this drastic war. The meaning is pointed with a majority of imagery, rather than sound effects.
