Genetic engineering is defined as a scientific alteration of the structure of genetic material in a living organism. There are many areas of life where altering the genetic make-up of an organism can create numerous benefits. Some of these benefits allow us to have the child of our choice, assisting in the treatments of diseases, and allow those who are disabled and without a limb to live a normal life again.
Genetic engineering is a solution to the many problems that face the everyday person today. From a child who gets picked on because their ears may stick out a little to the many diseases that plague one’s body, genetic engineering is a sure aid for the constant reoccurrings that exist today. I believe that genetic engineering was founded as a saviour to all of humanity’s needs.
