Feasibility Report
On May 1, 2002, Behr Gmbh of Germany acquired a fifty-one percent ownership in a manufacturing facility located in Dayton, Ohio, based on a feasibility study conducted over the past eleven months. The facility is also involved in the research, design and development (R&D) of the thermal related products that it supplies to DaimlerChrysler Corporation of Auburn Hills, Michigan. DaimlerChrysler will continue to own the remaining forty-nine percent for a period of two years while an interim transition occurs.
The purpose of the transition is to move the Dayton manufactured parts and processing to the Behr systems from the DaimlerChrysler systems. ... The interview focused on the change management process, its relationship to Engineering and Production, documentation and responsibilities.
