“Up!” cried the little boy next to me. I look down to see his round face and little arms, which are stretched out towards me. I kneel down and hoist the seven-year old onto my back. The minute I stand up he yells “1, 2, 3, Go!” and I take off down the hallway. Clark High School is empty, except for the other children that are here for Kids Kapers Summer Camp, but they are all in the gym. Christian wraps his arms tighter around my shoulders as I take a sharp turn. He always does better when he’s not around the other kids.
