Rome was overburdened by many problems during the third century. Not only did the Western Roman Empire fall from external attacks by Barbarian invaders but also the empire’s fate was to be doomed by the hands of social and economic problems within the empire. Historians have studied both circumstances that damaged the empire and have presented an assortment of explanations for why the Empire did fall. The fall of the Roman Empire was partly the fault of internal social and economic problems. The internal social problems were Political exclusion [doc.1], size and Christianity [doc.2], social virtues [doc. 4] and military [doc. 5]. Political exclusion was the reason for the fall of the empire [doc. 1]. Most of the people in the empire believed that it was to old of a civilization worth saving and from their beliefs it led to the exclusion from political responsibilities.
