Assume you have been assigned the task of developing a training program to improve the organizational hiring process. Since you have just finished studying Chapter 2 & 3 of your book, you are now the resident expert on all the benefits of the individual and the mistakes we can make in hiring them. What do you believe are the biggest things (from chapter 2& 3) you would need to worry about in designing this program, describe those things and give examples, and provide any insights you think should be added in this program so that we can hire the cream of the crop.
In designing this program, our company should institute policies across the board. Bad hiring decision cost the company in money, productivity, and possible litigation. ... There needs to be several considerations in place before hiring new employees within our organization; these organizational match, skills match, and job match. (Swenson)
It makes the most sense in the hiring process to disqualify bad choices before they make it too far within the hiring process.
