Recently, trade barriers have decreased dramatically, communication speed has reached unthinkable proportions and goods and services have never been easier to exchange; nevertheless, globalization has not been fully acknowledged as most people would think and hope because individual countries still protect their interests to an extremely high degree. Moreover, there exists the misconception that globalization is no more than easy travel and fast communication, when in fact some of its most important aspects include: political, social and economic integration. ... During this modification a country risks the loss of identity and sovereignty but its economic situation does not allow it to be concerned with these factors given that all they desire is to protect themselves from inflation in order to obtain a better standard of living and have their assets protected by a stronger power.
