how to be prepared for and surviving a flood
there are floods every day across the world some are more devastating than others some can actually be good for the area but if there is a flood in a populated area it is often chaos and is very hard to survive but hopefully this information will get you better prepaired incase a flood occurs in your area
1 first of all you need to find out is there history of flooding in your area if there has never been a recorded flood in the area it is still good to be prepaid for the worst
2 the second thing you should do is see the local council and see if they have a local flood evacution plan and get as much information about this plan and if they dont have one and your area is known to have floods then you should try to make one so that you can educate the town
3 find out what hieght the floods could be upto and ask yourself what hieght would cause my home to be flooded
4 what flood advice will be given by bureau of meteorology and local counter-disaster authorities
5 find out were the catchment area is in which heavy rain could result in floods near homes
IF THERE IS A FLOOD IN YOUR AREA THESE ACTION SHOULD PROBABLY TAKE PLACE:
