Egger writes “that as the serial killer becomes more and more secure with his crime he/she may also become increasingly more sadistic and inhumane, and that the pleasure and exhilaration that the serial killer derives from repeated murder stem from absolute control over human beings” (10). ... Even though most male killers kill for sexual reasons there are some that enjoy eating their victims, and there are also some that are mentally unstable. Female serial killers often kill for personal gain. Max Haines says “since serial killers grow up in violent households they don’t or can’t feel remorse because violence is all they know and are used to” (23).
