Some examples are saturated fats are butter, coconut and palm oil, and lard and beef tallow. Some of the health benefits and concerns of saturated fats consist of high cholesterol, high homocysteine, and ulcerative colitis (UC). People with high cholesterol are commonly advised to reduce their intake of dietary cholesterol and saturated fats. Despite the links between saturated fat intake and blood cholesterol levels, not everyone has appropriate dietary changes with a drop in cholesterol.
