youre mom incPetroleum has been prevelant throughout history. In early times it was used as mortar for coating boat hulls and walls. In times of war it was used in firing weapons. It was used for magic and making paints, and for medicine by Native Americans. In the early nineteenth century the streets of Prague were lighted with kerosene lamps. (source 1) I 1859 the petroleum industry began with an American oil pioneer. Other than lamps, little use was made of petroleum until gasoline engines were made. This engine was put in everything from automobiles to trucks, and tractors and airplanes.
