This piece of classics coursework is based on ‘how influential the very few changes and new ideas in late Greek religion were to the whole civilization in Greece’, and indeed, eventually round the world.
Although there were not many changes to Greek religion in its prime, there were many new ideas and suggestions about a new way of belief for the Greeks. All of these were introduced and proposed by Greek philosophers and poets. ... But to determine the way that religious ideas on the Gods were changed in Greece, you must first identify which original ideas and beliefs the Greeks followed.
Fundamental ideas involving Greek society were mainly centred on the firm idea in a polygamous rule over the Greek culture by many Gods. Every aspect of early Greek religion involved either directly or indirectly a certain reminder or sign of appreciation to one of the 15 Gods. Aspects such as Omens (a sign or signal of the Gods emotions or presence), Oracles (a place or an object which has some connection with the Gods, a bit like an ancient shrine) famous oracles include Delphi, and the shrine of Apollo. ...
All these ideas were originally founded on the basis of Egyptian religion, which was conducted from the Great God or Goddess, who formed the earth.
