Ghindi

I wrote my hero paper in Gandhi. He is not necessary my personal hero but he is a hero to many people. He was one of the greatest peace movement leaders of his time. He was a brilliant man. He was a hero to the people that he saved. He led peace movements and he was a pacifist. Martin Luther King Jr. followed his teachings. The information that is below tells about his life and his accomplishments. Gandhi is history's greatest prophet of nonviolent social change. Peace movements by their very nature are attracted to his philosophy of love and truth. The things that they use in their campaigns of the nonviolent action methods were also developed in South Africa and India. Gandhi is the principal contributor to the people waking up to nonviolence in the 20th century. In the US peace movement, Gandhi's influence is pervasive. This is true within the pacifist part of the movement, in most organization. Buttons, posters, and calendars showing Gandhi's image and showing his words are every were in the dimistrations. In Connecticut each year the Gandhi Peace Award is given to a prominent peacemaker by the organization, Promoting Enduring Peace.
