Biography of Bob Marley
Bob Marley was born February 6, 1945 in Nine Miles, Jamaica. He barely knew his father, Norval Marley, because of the disapproval Norval’s family had of his relationship with Bob’s mother, Cedella. Bob’s first music debut was when he was 16. In 1963 he joined the group the Wailers, consisting of Bob Marley, Bunny Livingstone, and Peter Tosh. ... Bunny and Peter soon after left the band, leaving Bob Marley, who then joined with the Barrett brothers and three female vocalists who called themselves the I-Threes, one of which was his wife Rita. They called themselves Bob Marley and the Wailers.
