Business programs are very popular among undergraduate students, because they believe that they will earn a higher income by studying business. Hence, they choose business programs without exploring other skills based courses in the university. The bad decision obstacle their fast promotion in the workplace. However, the yong undergraduate students should study sociology, science and psychology programs rather than dive into business programs at an early age. Understanding society is the key for a business to succeed. Business success is based on quick innovation. Sociology ¡°enables [students] to think critically about the changing social conditions¡± (Sociology par.6). By studying society, business people have the capacity to think creatively and establish new businesses before anyone else. For instance, Richard Branson, the founder of the Virgin Group of Companies, has recognized that customers are not only satisfied with good products, but also desire high quality services. Because society is developing rapidly, people have earned significantly more money than in the past. On the other hand, businesspeople have never paid attention to customers. Therefore, Branson ¡°has built [Virgin Groups] reputation as a 'hero' brand, always on the side of the consumer¡± (Virgin par.2). He also earned a lot of money by providing services based on customers. Richard has analysed the society and fined out that customers are willing to spend money on increasing their lives. ¡°[He] developed one of Britain's top brands with Virgin Records and Virgin Atlantic Airways¡± (Morris par.2). Business programs cannot help students to build up a solid analytical and critical thinking knowledge system. Management courses focus on the unpractical management theories from a century ago such as Frederick Taylor¡¯s ¡®Scientific Management¡¯ theory and Henri Fayol¡¯s ¡®Classic Management¡¯ theory. All of these theories focus on management side, but neglect the manager skills.
