Marketing Plan for P & O Cruises 1.0 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This marketing plan has been created with the intention to review the marketing strategies of P & O Cruises, an Australian company. Its’services offer cruises in the South Pacific region from eastern Australian coastal waters. The service consists of two ship; the ‘Pacific Princess’ and ‘Pacific Sky.’ The cruising industry continues to grow in Australia and so to does P & O cruises. 2.0 THE OLD AND NEW IMAGE: Before November 2000, P & O cruises had two main ships named; ‘Fairstar’ and ‘Fairprincess.’ In November of 2002 the company P & O introduced a new ship to the Australian market named, ‘Pacific Sky.’ Due to the success of ‘Pacific Sky’ P & O recently introduced another ship named, ‘Pacific Princess.’ 3.0 PRODUCT LIFE CYCLE: The following product life cycle shows where P & O Cruises are situated: P & O CRUISES: As can be observed from the diagram above, P & O Cruises are in the growth stage.
