Another factor that is essential to successful winter driving is a change in driving styles. When snow is packed on the highway it is still fine to drive fast, but you must remember that a quick reaction time are impossible. Driving on packed snow is just like driving under regular conditions except the driver must be much more alert for things that may require them to do sudden unexpected feats at high speeds such as turning or braking.
