Part II
In the film “Here Comes Mr. Jordan,” boxer Joe Pendleton is snatched up too early by a Heavenly Messenger, who is new on the job, right before his flight crashes. ... Mr. Jordan, the man in charge of the Messengers gives him the use of the body of Bruce Farnsworth, a wealthy business man who has just been murdered by his wife. ... Things get sticky when Mr. Jordan finds Joe another boxer’s body to take on, leaving him with no memory of his old life, Bette, Farnsworth or Mr. Jordan himself. Things work out in the end because of Joe’s memorable eyes.
In the film “Heaven Can Wait,” football quarterback Joe Pendleton is almost killed by a truck in a tunnel while riding his bicycle, when an overanxious angel picks him up and takes him to heaven, only to discover that he wasn’t supposed to die yet. ...
