... I want to a RA because I feel that I could make that connection with the students and, at the very least, extend my own invitation. Another core reason for wanting to become a RA is that I want to help students feel as comfortable at Centenary as I do. ... I know about a good bit of what goes into being a RA and what the job entails, and I think that I would enjoy being one for a number of reasons. ... There are such a wide variety of RA programs I have seen and/or heard about and I would take pleasure in planning some of my own and with other people. I also think that being a RA would give me a strong reason to be involved with the issues circulating Centenary. As a RA I would be forced to deal with issues troubling residents and have a chance to help in fixing those problems.
All of the reasons for me wanting to be a RA can be summed up as me wanting to be a part of such an integral group at Centenary College.
