Great Expectations Summary

Great Expectations Summary Finnegan Bell is a young boy who has no parents and lives in Florida with his sister, Maggie. Joe also lives with them at the time because he is Maggie’s current boyfriend. He treats Finn as if he was his uncle, and looks after him. While Finn is out in the water drawing in his book, a man jumps out from under the water when Finn accidentally steps on him. After he is threatened by the man, Finn sneaks out of the house to bring him what he needs later that night. He then realizes that the man is a prisoner and is somewhat frightened by this. He hands the prisoner some medicine, alcohol, food, and a tool. The prisoner uses the tool to cut off his chains. Finn is forced to help the prisoner escape on his boat, until a police boat appears. As Finn is being taken back to shore by the police boat, he throws the prisoner a life preserver so he can still try to escape. A little while later, Finn watches television and discovers that the prisoner he had helped was scheduled to be put to death. Later on, Joe and Finn go to Norah’s house to work on her yard for a while.
