THE CLASH In our lives we all have a clash of Generations. Whether it is with a parent or with a teacher or even with an older friend, we all have them. The clash of the generations was show in the stories “The Leader of the People”, “Son”, “Daughter of Invention”, “Rules of the Game”, “Your Place is Empty”, and “New Africa”. They have conflict in communication, realtionships, and power, and I will tell you about a few of them. In the story “The Leader of the People” there was a conflict in power between Grandpa and Carl. Carl was a person that wanted to be in control of everything a he did not like Grandpa, because he took some of his power away. Carl also had a problem with Grandpa because Jody paid more attention to grandpa than he did to Carl. In “Rules of the Game their was a conflict of power between Waverly and her mother over weather she could play cheese.
