Building healthy relationships is something every person aspires to accomplish. Having a relationship that can grow and develop into something worth taking care of and working on can sometimes be difficult. Once one is ready to commit to making a relationship work then the most important thing needed is dedication as well as patience. On November 5th, I attended a seminar on “How to Build Healthy Relationships,” and I learned many things I had not known before that would help me in the future with my relationships. First of all, relationships take hard work and a combination of several things in order for them to work. The professor of the seminar developed a mnemonic device for us to more easily understand how to build healthy relationships. It is TRRCCB, which stands for Trust, Respect, Responsibility, Communication, Commitment, and Beliefs. Trust is one of the most important things in a relationship as well as one of the things most couples have a difficulty in.
