Omens can either be good or bad, in this play, Julius Caesar they tend to be bad. Omens or signs are supposed to hint at the future, and what is to come. Shakespeare is harder to find out what the true meaning is of what he is trying to say. When we come across an omen we must interpret it correct, to see what is ahead of the characters. Cassius believed very much in omens so when one came across he was scared of what it is trying to say. Coming from Sardis, on our former ensign two mighty eagles fell, and there they perched, gorging and feeding from our soldiers’ hands, who to Philippi here consorted us.
