Total quality management is the continuous process of involving all organization members in ensuring that every activity related to the production of goods or services has an appropriate role in establishing product quality. Producing high-quality products or services results in three important ends for the organization: a positive company image, lower costs and higher market share, and decreased liability costs.
I think that any quality process should be applied starting at the beginning of the business process; whether it is manufacturing, sales, or shipping/receiving. ... Training should be implemented to include quality expectations and guidelines of not only the department in which the employee is assigned, but in all of the departments combined.
