We are all born onto this earth innocent of tasting the fruit from the well-known tree of knowledge of good and evil. ...
From an optimistic point of view the tree of knowledge of good and evil is a tree of insightfulness rather than a taboo. Without experiencing some form of evil it is extremely hard for us to realize how good things are. ... “…the woman saw that the tree was good for food… and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate;” (Genesis 3:6). Not only did Adam and Eve have so much more appreciation for the Garden of Eden after they were removed from it but they also learned from experience how to avoid falling into the hands of evil again. Now Adam and Eve had to use this knowledge to make their own judgments when subjected to the unavoidable evil present on earth.
