	The movie Raging Bull is based on the true life story of Jake La Motta who was a middle-weight boxing champion. The movie displays the dramatic tragedy of the champion boxer in a brutal, violent, repulsive yet realistic and fascinating way. Robert De Niro, one of the most talented actors of all time, plays the stubborn, disturbed and insecure boxer. Robert De Niro, who had an outstanding performance in this movie, sacrificing his usual Italian mafia look to a boxer who loves to get beat up, and a loser comedian, who doesn't even look like the same guy he used to be. For his sacrifises for the movie, and again for his exceptionally superior acting performance, he won the academy award.
