The Cathedral Santuario de Guadalupe (Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe also known as Cathedral Guadalupe) stands with its neighbors -- the Myerson Symphony Center, The Dallas Museum of Art and The Raymond D. Nasher Sculpture Center –at the center of the Dallas Arts District. Located at 2215 Ross Avenue in the center of the Dallas Arts District, The Cathedral Santuario de Guadalupe is the mother church of the nine-county Roman Catholic Diocese of Dallas. Originally dedicated as the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart when opened in 1902, it was renamed Cathedral Santuario de Guadalupe in 1977.
