Yes, racism is the most influential oppression in American Society as a whole. It also has a more predominate affect on every area of life. Racism has a predominate affect in our communities. People in our communities don’t interact well with each other. They judge each other by what they wear, the way they talk, and by the color of their skin. Everything to me is based on who or what is better to one individual. I recall doing the same thing that society does, when I was younger. I would judge people by the way they act and even by their skin color. Now as an adult I know how to respect everyone and treat all mankind as equal. Shelby Stelle said, “I think the real trouble between the races in America is that the races are not just races but competing power groups.” In response to this statement I would say, get to know an individual before judging them.
