Health insurance is vital to Americans in this day and age, so many diseases and epidemics we are faced with; the lack of health insurance has become a big problem for many people. In 2000, nearly 40 million Americans had no health insurance. There are many other countries that provide their citizens with public health insurance programs. ... This leaves out the lower class working people and even some middle class that earn too much to receive Medicaid and not enough to afford medical insurance for themselves or their families. Over the years there have been several proposals issued on a variety of health insurance programs for Americans.
