Out of Order Molly Lindley Theatre Lori Hancock T R 4:30-5:45 Acting 1. The actors were believable. The main characters did a really well job portraying who they were suspose to be. Although every character seemed to stretch the ideal of themselves a little to far at certain moments of the play. 2. The most successful characters were: The bell-boy, and George Pigdon. The bell-boy man acted just like a greedy, “all I want is money” man. His big grin was especially funny every time he received a tip. George acted like the typical 30 year old girly-boy that still lives at home with mommy. The way he jogging about the stage was particularly funny, also each time George received bad news his worried facial expression made me laugh. 3. I did not like Mrs. Worthington. The reason for this is that she acted a little fake, like she could have tried a little harder. She is suppose to be getting seduced by a handsome young man, yet she looks too worried about getting caught, and if this is “right”. Also she looks a lot older than Mr. Willey, maybe even his mother. 4. Overall the characters worked as one unit. I could see a natural flow most of the time. There was one instance that George said his line without letting Willey finish. Directing 1. There was defiantly a unifying idea behind the play. The way the actors developed the performances.
