The Baltic Sea Region lives through a close-meshed network of different cooperation forms in all political, economical, cultural and social fields of action, which is being reactivated since the fall of the iron curtain. The states begin to build up a cooperation area of up to 50 million people around the shores of the Baltic Sea. In this case the Baltic Sea is a very important catalyst in developing the economical growth in the region.
