School Uniform has always been a big controverse during last years. Those who are for school uniforms say that a school uniform is necessary to protect student from violence outside, to recognize them when they are in the building and then to stop the intruders. Those who oppose school uniforms believe that fundamental rights to express oneself are violated, and that anyway, a school uniforms is clearly a miniscule solution to a much larger problem that has its roots in a wider society. ... Therefore, we’ll try to defend here the fact that school uniform is not a way to prevent crime, but in contrary, a way to “castrer” a whole generation of teenager’s freedom!
Indeed, as said before, school uniforms will lessen childrens individualism and creativity. ... Clains have been made that school uniforms enforce conformity rather than individuality. Some reasons given by students who do not wish to wear a school uniform are that for example it does not allow freedom of expression, they have no choice.
