The poem Unknown Citizen is a poem that is about this nameless man. This man seems to be a perfect citizen for the State. During this poem the State makes the assumption because this man is a perfect citizen and they have all these records and statistics on him that he should be happy other wise the State would have known. ... The state assumes that because theses reports have come back saying he’s a model citizen “That, in the modern sense of an old fashioned word, he was a Saint,” that he then is happy. ... This prize is not give to an average citizen who pays their taxes on time, reacts to advisements and adds enough children to the population but to people who come up with new scientific evolvements. ... The author portrays the average ness of the man with the title “Unknown citizen”. ... They lead the high life compared to the average poor citizen who was a peasant and worked for the nobility with out getting any recognition.
