Since the 1960’s, Alan Kay has contributed greatly to the programming and computer world. He is well known for saying, “The Best Way to Predict the Future is to Invent It.” He has accomplished this time and time again through out his life. Alan Kay showed signs of great intelligence at an early age and had a tremendous gift for the arts. He sang and played the guitar at an early age. His life was geared toward the arts until he was kicked out of college in 1961. He took a computer aptitude test when he joined the volunteer Air Force and surprisingly scored very well. After a few years of service, Mr. Kay Alan left to finish college. Over the next few years, he earned his Bachelors of Science in Mathematics and Molecular Biology from the University of Colorado in 1966, his Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Utah, and in 1969 his Ph.D.
