Kazakhstan high education system meets the International standards and needn’t change anything. Kazakhstan took its place as an independent actor on the world stage in 1991 and had good USSR base of education. Problem that Kazakhstan faced at that time was the lack of qualified specialists. Kazakhstan was changed to market economy; the system of education was also bounded to undergo profound changes in eleven years of independence. Many new universities have been opened as KIMEP, Turan, KAU, KBTU etc. Having completed secondary education, one can either become part of work force or go on to college ( " institution of higher learning " ).There are universities and so-called "institutes" in Kazakhstan.
