Surviving A Holiday Without
Parents
(Abroad)
Going away without your parents, huh? ...
You still want to go away without Ma and Pa, even after that stern warning? ... You probably want your holiday to be a nice, relaxing experience,
brimming with semi-legal activity- which is exactly what it can be, as long as you mark
my words and use some common sense. ... )
Before booking make sure you can afford the holiday. ... Here’s
what happens: they book their holiday in February for August- as anyone would- but
then for some unknown reason they start packing in April, so they can forget about it
and look forward to their holiday. ... It’s even more nasty and evil than the holiday you’ll have to visit if you get
sunstroke. ... Just plan ahead as to how you are
going to get to the airport beforehand, whether it be by taxi, bus, coach, or- God
forbid- a lift from your Dad (not preferable on a ‘Sans Parents’ holiday). ... Behave
yourself where you have to, as being without parents should, to a certain extent, bring
maturity. ... The last thing you need is having to get your parents to
come and bail you out, because next year could equal a holiday in the lake district with
your Gran.
