Widows have a special place in Gods heart just like the fatherless. We see expressions of his love in several scriptures that encourages us to take care of widows and not to pervert their rights.
For many widows, the death of their spouse has marked the end of the road, as it opens up a new phase in their life of financial insecurity, intimidation by family members, despondency about the future of their children.
