Film: The Bronx :a Cry for Help This film is based in the Bronx, New York City in 1976. In 1976, the Bronx begins to look like projects and a high crime area of New York. White people who lived there from 1900 to 1960 kept it clean and had the resources to keep it clean. But after that they began to move further out to the suburbs and the area begins to get run down. The landlords received money from the government that helped to keep it looking run down. The city started dumping trash in empty lots and it looked like a big dump area. People still live there however it seemed as if no one cares about them.
