PASSION VS RESPNOSIBILITY

Out of Luck, Huck The words defiant and rebellious fall under Huckleberry Finn’s profile towards society. He represents natural life through his freedom of spirit and his uncivilized ways. He has a strong resistance towards anything that might “sivilize” him. The quote, “Then she told me all about the bad place, and I said I wished I was there” (Twain 2) shows his discomfort with proper society. However, in Mark Twain‘s, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Huck demonstrates a greater respect. His indecision of whether or not to turn Jim into the proper authorities brings forward the idea that Huckleberry’s lack of respect might have a breaking point. With their adventures to back it up, the two consider themselves to be best friends.
