The Jessica Lynch story has various angles as to what did or did not happen. I found several different accounts of how Jessica Lynch has been declared a hero by the American media. ... The report gives the dramatic account of how Jessica’s vehicle was ambushed by Iraqi soldiers and how she bravely fired her weapon until she no longer had any more ammunition left. ... The remainder of the article discusses Lynch’s desire to be a school teacher. The next account of the incident was found on the BBC News website, and it is basically critiquing the media’s portrayal of the Jessica Lynch story, and the way it really happened. The article begins with Jessica’s run in with the Iraqi soldiers, and states that she did not fire one shot, her gun was jammed, and she was on her knees the whole time.
