	“Yes you can!” “No you can’t!” “What were you thinking?” “You could never do that!” These are things I often hear from my peers everyday. After hearing those comments, most people would give up on what they wanted. To me, having a goal—something you dream about—makes it worth not giving up. My goal is to pursue a career in the music business. Throughout my life I have learned that persistence, self-determination, and ambition are the characteristics that will help me achieve this goal. Persistence to me means “If at first you don’t succeed try, try again.” Failure never turns me away from a goal, it only inspires me to improve and move on.
