‘St Agnes Stand’ by Thomas Eidson St Agnes Stand is about an injured outlaw heading for freedom in California. He stumbles across the trapped survivors of an Apache ambush: three nuns and seven orphan children. Sister St Agnes is convinced that Nat Swanson has been sent by God to rescue them. Swanson is equally convinced that the best they can hope for is not to be taken alive. In my static image the rocky road symbolizes the path Nat Swanson has to take to get to California and all the things he comes across along the way. The gaps between the rocks symbolize the gap in his life now the dog is dead. The crossroad symbolizes that there are different things he will come across and different ways he can go about them.
