pendulums

An Investigation for the Period of a Pendulum Plan: I plan to do An Investigation for the Period of a Pendulum. I will change the length of the pendulum. I will test the pendulum at 0.1m to 1m in 0.1m intervals. I will use a 100g weight. We should also let the pendulum swing for ten periods and then divide by 10 to reduce the effect of human error. I will start the experiment when the pendulum is in the middle because its easier to measure from there and it would be proberbly be more accurate. The actual length of the pendulum is measured from the pivot to the center of gravity of the pendulum. Human error between releasing the pendulum and starting the stopwatch. To make sure this is at a minimom the same person does each task every time, use a standard release method, i.e. 3,2,1, go. The clamp-stand was kept at the same height, and the pendulum was given a large space to swing in, to ensure nothing that could affect the time of the oscillation came into contact with it.
