A day at the Eastgate Mall is like a rat race. Everyone scampering to get where they are going, and making purchases. I wonder if they even realize what they are spending their money on. I had to bring my daughter to Dillard’s today to buy a dress for Homecoming. There’s not much to pick from. I guess we should have come here sooner. She has tried on about 20 dresses already and we just haven’t hit on that “Special Dress”. My daughter’s name is Samantha, she is sixteen years old and very beautiful. I watch these other girls trying on these dresses as I watch her and they are purely crazy. Some girls are fighting with their parents; others just sit there or throw fits and don’t care or have no respect. If my daughter talked to me the way I hear some other children talking to their parents I don’t think she would live to see tomorrow.
