A Public Meeting Should Edith Garden stay or go? The people in the Edith Garden are living in terrible conditions with hardly any proper sanitation or shelter, which causes many people living there, to get diseases. The people of Edith Garden are seen as the lepers of the community and the government doesn’t bother to help them. As the people of the favela are always searching for food and collecting water, many children don’t receive the education that they desperately need. It is no better for their parents as many of them don’t have the simplest skills they need for a job. The people of the favela have to search for food because they spend what little money they have on improving their shelter and sanitation.
