What is personality? ... Burger, personality is consistent patterns and intrapersonal processes originating within the individual. What makes personality is believe to be based on the three issues in theory, which they are genetic versus environmental influence, conscious versus unconscious determinants of behavior and free will versus determinism.
The first personality theory is known as genetic versus environmental influences. Genetic versus environmental is a theory in which psychologist debate whether personality is from birth or by our environmental surroundings. I believe genetics as well as our environmental surrounding are influences on our personality. In genetics we might be born with some of our parents personality traits. ... This is what we pick up and adapt to as being part of our personality. To some extent our personality changes when we are with people of other character. ... Genetics is a trait that you might get from the genes on how your personality will be when growing up to an adult.
